VILLAGERS in Foulridge have banded together to raise £600 for Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle.
Butcher David Ingham sold raffle tickets for local artist David Hoyle's painting, raising £250. Golden wedding couple Mabel and Arthur Steele asked for donations rather than presents and raised £55.
After dinner speaker Hazel Wilkinson raised £140 while a collecting box from George and Susan Baldwin brought in another £71 .
The money was handed over to hospice fund-raising manager Kaye Bartle.
