A BOY who did a 48 length sponsored swim for the hospice that cared for his grandad has handed them a £126 cheque.
Stephen Tattersall, 12, of Harle Syke, Burnley, decided he wanted raise money for Pendleside Hospice, Reedley, following their treatment of his grandad Harold Houldsworth, who died from lung cancer aged 76.
Stephen, a student of Gawthorpe High School, Padiham, went around local shops and asked teachers and friends for sponsorship before completing the swim at the Thompson Centre, Burnley.
