A DEVELOPER will have to improve a road before converting a barn and farm house into three dwellings.
Rachel Kneen, of Bank Street, Briercliffe, told Burnley's development control committee of residents' concerns about the plan.
She said: "Our front doors open straight on to the street and there is only a narrow footpath.
"Bank Street is an old street and heavy traffic could damage the foundations of the houses and cause the drains to collapse.
"There will be an increase in traffic to the houses and there is a danger someone is going to get killed or seriously injured."
Planning officer Paul Skinner told councillors a condition was to be imposed that the road be made up before the work begins and the residents will be involved in the decision of what road surface is to be installed
