A REPORT into the summer racial troubles in Burnley is expected to be published in November.
The man leading the task force into the disturbances which hit Duke Bar, Daneshouse and Burnley Wood, Lord Tony Clarke, said the consultation period would be finished by the end of next month and that he was confidence that the report would be out in November.
Members of the 15-strong task force have agreed a draft for a questionnaire to be sent out to all homes in the town.
The results will be analysed by an independent group and included in the final report.
Lord Clarke has urged everyone to fill in the form and make their views known. People have until October 24 to respond.
So far they have received more than 100 letters and e-mails from individuals and local organisations.
Definite themes emerging include: impact of low property value, general crime and disorder, drugs problems right across the borough, concerns over police response times to reported incidents, alleged disproportionate allocation of funds, alleged preferential treatment to certain areas, youth unemployment, need for investment and the role of the media.
The task force sub groups, police, voluntary organisations, community, faith leaders and young people, are all meeting regularly and reporting good progress.
The task force website is now up and running and will be formally launched next week.
