A FOUR-DAY Pendle in Paint exhibition will be held early next month.
The celebration of work by local artists, now in its 18th year, will be staged at Colne Municipal Hall from Thursday, October 4, to Sunday, October 7. It will include craft stalls and demonstrations along with the paintings by local artists.
Visitors will be able to vote for their painting from various sections, open, watercolour, Pendle In Paint, championship and abstract.
There will also be various sections for youngsters with prizes donated by Dyson's Art Shop, Nelson.
Gary Hood, marketing and business manager, said: "We always receive a very high standard and welcome past entrants and newcomers to this year's competition."
Exhibitors are ask to take their paintings to the Municipal Hall on Saturday, September 29, between 10am and 2pm.
Entry fee is £1 per painting for adults, £1 overall for seniors and free for children.
On the final day there will be a presentation to the artists who have gained most votes from Thursday to Saturday visitors.
Admission is 50p and times for the event are Thursday, from 2-7pm; Friday, 12-7pm, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday, 2-5pm.
