A POLICEMAN was taken to hospital after his car was rammed twice and wrecked after stopping a vehicle for a routine check.
PC Gordon Dickinson escaped serious injury in the incident on Cross Street North, Haslingden, after a stolen Land Rover Discovery reversed at speed into his 8 Series Rover.
