ORANGES may not be the only fruit. But at Warburtons' Burnley bakery, general manager Duncan Lees could be forgiven for being obsessed with them.
He took delivery of a mini-mountain of fresh oranges from the sunny groves of Seville to launch a new product from the bakery.
Fruit loaf with orange is the latest offering from Warburtons in Burnley which has been baking bread for the past 20 years. The bakery, which employs around 300 people, produces more than one million bread products a week and distributes them to major multiples and independent retailers throughout the area.
Duncan has already developed a taste for the zesty loaf. "These loaves are probably best eaten toasted with butter for breakfast, or mid-morning, or mid-afternoon or just about any time you like," he said.
