STAND, the NWCL Division Two leaders, crashed out of the FA Vase at the second qualifying round stage in extra time at Hull side Hall Road Rangers
For the first time this season Stand were left to rue missed opportunities. The main incident in the opening 90 minutes was the dismissal of Hall's defender Neil Buckley for hauling down Chris Denham but it was goalless at full time.
Stand opened the scoring in the first minute of extra time, Chris Denham shot against the bar and Jordan Ashton followed up. Paul Palmer equalised from a free kick before Jamie Barnwell gave the home side the lead.
Ashton scored a second but it was ruled out for a foul and he was red-carded for arguing about the decision. But a minute later, Mark Denham smashed home to make it all square and a replay looked on the cards. But, with seconds left, Mike Smith cracked home the winner.
RESULT: HALL ROAD RANGERS...3 STAND...2 (aet)
