NELSON banged in eight goals to see off the challenge of North East Counties Premier Division side Garforth Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase.
Kiko Rodriguez opened the scoring after only five minutes and three minutes later Jonathan Irvine drove in the second goal with a fierce shot.
Garforth Town tried to compete but at times were holding on grimly as the Blues had them on the rack.
Two minutes after the interval Rodriguez made it 3-0 with a solo goal and then substitute Mick Molyneux added number four with a great run and finish from the left wing.
Irvine made it 5-0 after 64 minutes and completed his hat-trick five minutes later firing home a loose ball after the keeper had blocked his initial shot.
Rodriguez scored Nelson's seventh goal after 79 minutes when he took advantage of a mix-up in the demoralised Garforth defence to complete his hat-trick.
Three minutes later Lee Coldridge sent Rodriguez clear to fire home his fourth and Nelson's eighth as the Blues showed no mercy to their Yorkshire rivals.
RESULT: NELSON...8 GARFORTH TOWN...0
