Atherton Colls 1 Mossley 2
ATHERTON Colls' 2-1 home defeat by Mossley sent the visitors to the top of the NWCL Division One. But, despite a fifth defeat in the eight opening league games, Colls chairman Steve Payne sees no reason to panic.
"We are playing well," he emphasises. "We were just getting on top when Lee Potter got sent off. We were two goals down at the break but the second half we dominated and that was with 10 men. It was a good game and we are very pleased with the Monday night fixtures experiment as we had over 220 on."
Colls' goal came when Steve Denny, now beginning to show his true capabilities, crossed and Nicky Fisher, another summer signing getting into his stride, converted on 80 minutes.
