A MAN in an attack in front of CCTV cameras has been jailed for a total of two years and three months- although a judge said he deserved more.
Anthony Stott, 22, had kicked and stamped on his "defenceless " victim and Recorder Roger Farley, QC, who gave him a two year term for the offence, said it fully deserved three.
The judge, who had watched the video recording of Stott's behaviour, said his actions had been disgraceful and cowardly and the sort that worried and inflamed the public.
He told the defendant: "It is the sort of act the public expects to look to the court to be protected from."
Stott, of Wood Street, Brierfield, had admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and failing to surrender to bail.
