POLICE in Pendle have issued a warning after a Royal Mail jacket complete with an identity card was stolen.
DC Andy Eddleston said police were concerned that the property could be used in bogus official incidents.
He said: "We would ask anyone who has suspicions to ask for further ID or ring the Post Office to double check."
The jacket was stolen from a silver Vauxhall Vectra in Albert Road, Colne, on Sunday evening.
Anyone who finds the jacket or who has information is asked to contact Colne CID on 01282 472444 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
A bag containing baby clothing was also stolen.
