JUSTIN Armitage refused to leave when police attended a large-scale disturbance in Chester Avenue, Clitheroe, on a Friday night.
Blackburn magistrates heard that he placed himself between an officer and another youth and told the officer to leave him alone.
And while most of the gang of between 30 and 35 juveniles moved on as requested, Armitage sat down in the road and refused to leave.
Armitage, 18, of Whalley Road, Sabden, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour and was fined £150 with £55 costs.
Armitage, who was not represented, said he agreed with the prosecution version of events. "I should have kept my mouth shut," he added.
