LANDLORD Robbie Walsh and partner Sue Carolan have landed themselves a new pub without leaving their old one!
For the new-look Sportsmans Arms, Shear Brow, Blackburn, has had such an extensive facelift, even the owners don't recognise it.
"The place looks totally different, it's amazing," said Robbie.
"I can't believe it's the same pub, it feels like we have moved to a new one."
Robbie and Sue also have high hopes for the pub's future.
He added: "We now hold an entertainment licence which means we can offer live music events on a regular basis and can take care of the majority of footballing and other sports needs, showing all the main events live on the big screen.
"We have teams for pool and darts and can cater for any sort of function - this place really has changed for the better."
It is appropriate that the Sportsmans should have a strong sporting flavour especially as the landlord is something of a sportsman in his own right, having for many years opened the bowling for Rishton in the Lancashire League.
