ENTRIES totalled 323 in Edenfield Horticultural Society Autumn Show with one man entering 50 classes!
Secretary Betty Garvey said: "It was a great show which was opened by the High Sheriff of Lancashire Gloria Oates and we were very pleased that she attended the show and presented the prizes.
"Derek Brooks, from Worsley, arrived with a car full of plants and flowers and started setting up at 9am and when it got to 1pm we had to tell him to stop so we could get round and judge!
"He doesn't just come with items -- he also wins prizes, because his exhibits are very good and he won four cups for his plants."
Another notable success was 10-year-old Catherine Stanners, who competed with adults to win the novice floral art cup at the show at St Philip's Church, Stubbins.
