PEOPLE in Rossendale are invited to get involved with the work of Age Concern at a variety of events to be held in the area.
As part of Age Concern Week, the Rossendale volunteers are holding a coffee morning at the newly opened shop at 34 Bank Street, Rawtenstall, on October 4 from 10am to 1pm.
Visitors are also invited to see what the day care service has to offer at Ravencroft Community Centre, Helmshore, on October 3 from 2pm to 3.30pm.
The charity also has a shop in Bacup on Rochdale Road and the Age Concern office, at 37 Kay Street, Rawtenstall, is open weekdays from 10am to 3pm for advice and help.
Chief Officer of Age Concern Lancashire Geraldine Moore said: "Our work and indeed our successes, in Rossendale are made possible because of our volunteers' efforts and dedication and a special thanks must go to them."
