RAMSBOTTOM will be looking to warm up to their big FA Cup clash at the weekend with a victory over Warrington Town at the Riverside tonight.
The Rams have already picked up £8,500 for winning two games in the prestigious competition and travel to UniBond Premier side Whitby Town on Saturday - last weekend's conquerors of Accrington Stanley - in a bid to pick up another £7,500 for getting through the second qualifying round.
But first up, they face fourth placed Warrington, promoted to the NWCL Division One last season, who are currently riding high in fourth place in the league.
The Rams have yet to find the form that sealed third spot for them last season but they will be boosted after a successful weekend.
Mike Kelly's men chalked up only their second league win since the opening day of the season with a resounding 4-1 defeat of Maine Road last Saturday.
Meanwhile third placed Clitheroe make the trip to Fleetwood Freeport looking to make it four wins out of four for new boss Lee Sculpher.
So far, under the new regime, the Blues have not dropped a point with Neil Spencer the hot-shot, scoring three goals in three games.
Fleetwood have yet to win a league game this season and are second from bottom of the Division One table.
Elsewhere, UniBond First Division leaders Rossendale United will be aiming to show their mettle against a side from a step up the non-League pyramid tonight.
They take on Burscough in the group stages of the League Cup and will be looking to put Saturday's 2-1 home loss at the hands of Harrogate Town behind them as quickly as possible.
It was Jim McCluskie's side's first defeat of the season.
