A TEENAGER was taken home to his parents and warned about his future behaviour after being rescued from the roof of the sports hall at Towneley High School, Burnley.
Firefighters were called by one of the boy's friends on his mobile phone shortly after 7pm yesterday.
Sub Officer John Davies said the youngster had climbed about 40 feet on to the roof and could not get down.
Firefighters used the aerial ladder platform to reach him and bring him down. Mr Davies said he had probably been on the roof for about 15 minutes and was unhurt.
He did not offer an explanation why he had climbed on to the roof.
A police spokesman said the boy was taken home to his parents and warned about his future behaviour.
