CREWE boss Dario Gradi regretted dropping two points as he said: "It was a great game if you were not a manager. If you're a fan you don't want to be leaving a game like that early.
"I thought we had nicked it at the end, I thought we would hold out and it is a shame we didn't. In the end you have got to say that it was two points dropped."
"Gareth Taylor's heading was always a problem to us but we caused them problems with Kenny Lunt and Phil Charnock down the flanks and the pace and strength of our two (Jack and Hulse) up front. We thought we could cause them some problems."
"The problem is we are conceding some sloppy goals and the third one was a poor goal to give away. But we came back from a two goal deficit and kept going at the end."
For the second successive home game Ternent produced a super sub, this time Andy Payton netting twice, one a penalty, and the experienced striker showed sympathy for team mate Paul Cook who missed form the spot.
"Cooky was off in the second half so I was always going to take the second penalty," he said. "But anyone who has taken penalties has missed them, it happens in football."
"For my second goal Gareth got a flick on, it dropped nicely for me and I stuck it away. We had been pushing forward and we were disappointed to give away such a late goal.
"The main thing is we showed the spirit to come back."
