CATERERS throughout Blackburn with Darwen are continuing to satisfy their customers' tastebuds and keep them healthy at the same time.
Already, more than 80 food outlets have signed up to Blackburn with Darwen Council's Healthy Catering Award Scheme.
With Awards at Gold or Silver level, the programme is open to any business that can demonstrate high standards of food hygiene and offer staff training in food handling.
Customers can spot the award holders by looking out for the special framed certificates and window stickers.
Several establisments will receive new honours at a ceremony held at Blakey's Cafe Bar in Blackburn today.
They include staff canteens, restaurants, sandwich shops, snack bars, nurseries and homes for the elderly and many are renewing for a second or third year or upgrading from Silver to Gold.
