LAST Saturday (September 22), as a member of Blackburn's Corporation Park supporters group, I was involved in a 'litter pick' organised by the Revidge Community Association.
My 'team' focused attention on the park and m, while others went elsewhere in the neighbourhood.
Minutes after entering from West Park Road, we came upon the ugliest sight -- the conservatory had been vandalised once again!
The whole of the surrrounding area was littered with broken bottles and empty cans, plus other evidence of a drunken 'party.'
This kind of irresponsible and wanton vandalism is not only disgusting and unacceptable, it is also astonishing, when one remembers that less than two months ago the whole town was enjoying the magnificent success of the second Arts in the Park festival and feeling proud that we had among us the very beautiful venue worthy of such an event.
