THE Duke of Wellington must be wondering what all the fuss is about when it comes to the so called dreaded penalty shoot-out.

Having disposed of Low Moor in the first round in similar fashion the Duke cooly brushed Judge Walmsley aside in another spot kick lottery.

The Judge must be kicking themselves because they did enough to win in normal time after a rousing second half display. But after matching Wellington penalty for penalty after the opening two spot kicks, Dave Abbott went and pulled off two good saves and that was that.

Wellington -- once they finally arrived -- started brightly with the hard running Shane Hindle getting an immediate grip on midfield.

With Wellington forcing the play it was no surprise they took the lead and it was Hindle who got it, thumping home a header from Johnny Andrews fine corner kick.

Leon O'Neil then set up Andrews who cross was beaten away by Taylor. O'Neil himself then fired just over the bar.

But the Judge drewe level 10 minutes later when Mick Derbyshire's quick free kick found Andy White who raced to the by-line and squared the ball across the area for Peter Wright to side foot home.

Wellington could have taken a lead into the break but were denied by the crossbar after Lansburger's acrobatic volley smacked against the woodwork.

After the break it seemed certain Wellington would regain the lead. Sub Dunn glanced a clever header just wide before O'Neil smacked a shot against the angle of bar and post.

But the introduction of Sean Berry gave Judge an injection of some much needed pace up front -- had it not been for some better finishing he would have given them the lead.

Instead, O'Neil's pace at the other end carved open the judge defence and his cross was turned into his own net by the otherwise faultless Stephen Shield.

But there was to be another twist when Berry fired home in the last minute after Abbott pulled off a wonderful save to deny Peter Turner. Berry then hit the post in extra time but Wellington survived and then cruise through the spot kick drama.
