THE Government, having now solved all the problems of the NHS, education and serious crime, have come up with a marvellous idea produced in the fantasy factory of the liberal left elite on their behalf.

Under the guise of the Human Rights Act, they are proposing to prevent parents from chastising their own children.

As we all know, this will turn out to be a nightmare. This is a disturbing and deliberate move to destroy the family unit.

Politicians have no right to intrude in family matters. This is a gross interference with the rights of parents to chastise their own children in a caring relationship.

Britain already has sufficient laws and societies to protect children against any excessive punishment.

The do-gooders never seem to be able to make a rational analysis of any situation. This is a constant puzzle to the general public whose common sense generally strikes the right balance, but, invariably, politicians always pay rapt attention to the do-gooders' brand of life.

This assault on the family is the last straw. Possibly, leaders of the Christian and Muslim communities can persuade the politicians of the errors of their ways.
