SOUNESS does not think that Aston Villa's disappointment in the UEFA Cup last night will have any bearing on the clash between the two clubs at Villa Park on Sunday.
Villa went out on the away goals rule despite winning 1-0 on the night at Croatian side NK Varteks.
They triumphed with a last gasp goal from Mustapha Hadji but were made to pay for the disappointment of losing the first leg 3-2 at home.
"That result will have no relevance on Sunday, it does not matter" said Souness. "We know we have got a very tough game ahead of us."
