POLICE have released the descriptions of a man and a woman who conned their way into a pensioner's house and stole £300 in cash.
The 64-year-old woman of Leslie Avenue in Skerton was expecting the hairdresser when a man and a woman knocked on the door saying they were community workers. The pensioner refused them entry but while the young woman distracted her, the man entered the house and ransacked the bedroom. They made off with an income support book and £300 in cash. The man is described as approximately 40-years-old wearing green trousers and a green shirt which had a logo. He was slim with dark hair and about 5ft 6ins and was referred to as "Jenkins."
The female was in her teens, of medium build with dark brown hair. She was wearing a navy and blue track suit. Anyone with any information about these two people should call Lancaster Police on 63333.
