COUNCILLORS are being asked to turn down plans for a two-storey extension to a house in Banks Bridge Close, Barnoldswick, on the grounds that it would be oppressive and overbearing.
The planning application will come under scrutiny at the West Craven committee on Tuesday.
Officers recommend refusal, saying the extension would be injurious to privacy, daylight and sunlight to an address in Coates Fields and impinge on the privacy of the rear gardens of neighbouring houses in Banks Bridge Close and Coates Fields.
The detached house is at the end of a cul-de-sac on a relatively new housing development.
The application is for an extension for two first floor bedrooms and a study.
