PRESTON Council staff are in mourning after one of the mayor's attendants was found hanged.
Josef St Jean, 33, was found dead in a house in College Court, Preston, belonging to his estranged wife, Liz, on Monday, September 17. Mr St Jean, a father-of-two, had worked at the Town Hall for three years as a porter and one of the mayor's attendants. His funeral took place on Wednesday September 26 at St Joseph's Church, Skeffington Road, and was attended by around three hundred friends and colleagues.
Mayor of Preston, Councillor Alan Hackett said: "Jo was an extremely friendly and responsible sort of chap. The whole town hall is deeply affected by this loss."
