A NEW mum is celebrating after having a healthy baby boy six weeks early -- to add a fifth generation to her family.
After a difficult birth during which she almost died Victoria Cumming, of Walton Park, Preston, welcomed Harrison into the world four weeks ago to the delight of husband Dwayne and the rest of the family including the tot's great, great, grandmother Rene Coulton.
The baby's arrival, by Caesarean section, makes five generations in the family with Rene the eldest at 86 years old. And the youngster is already following in his mother's footsteps as a fifth generation babe -- when Victoria was born her great, great, grandfather Willis, from Longton, was still alive.
After a three week stay in hospital mother and baby are both at home and doing well.
Harrison's grandmother Hazel Coulton said: "I just can't believe everybody is here and well -- Harrison is absolutely beautiful and great, great grandmother Rene is just ecstatic."
Now all the family are living within a 10 mile radius of each other.
