ACCOUNTANCY firms struggling for staff can now count on a Bury-based company.
For the town's first recruitment agency for all levels of finance and accounting staff has now opened its doors.
PM Accountancy, located at the Businesslodge in Barcroft Street, Bury, is run by well-known businessman Phil Macaulay.
Phil, who has almost 15 years of experience in the recruitment industry, set up the company's first branch in Manchester back in 1995.
The firm will be recruiting both permanent and temporary staff for companies across the Bury area and extending to the Rossendale Valley and to Bolton and Oldham.
Phil said: "Over the last five years, PM Accountancy has noticed that this part of Greater Manchester has lacked a dedicated recruitment agency in the finance and accountancy sector. "We aim to put that right by offering both candidates and clients a quality, local service that previously they would have had to go to the centre of Manchester for."
He added: "By opening in Bury, we are centrally based and easy to get to.
"As an agency that insists on interviewing all candidates that register, it means they don't have to battle through the Manchester traffic to find out about a job that is only minutes from home."
Phil went on: "Furthermore, the opening of the M60 Manchester orbital has made the area even more accessible and has heralded an influx of new businesses, all of which makes this the ideal time to set up a new office."
The businessman has contributed numerous articles to the media in addition to appearing on local radio to speak on such issues as the local economy, the recruitment agency industry, aspects of the job market and how to write CVs and dress for interviews.
