NOW there's no reason for kids to be bored by the bard.
Shakespeare 4 Kidz theatre company -- a theatre group specialising in attracting young audiences to Shakespeare's work -- is staging a sensational production of Twelfth Night at Preston's Charter Theatre in October.
Shakespeare 4 Kidz Twelfth Night takes characterisation and movement to the extreme and the slapstick comedy in the play has the same impact and appeal as traditional pantomime.
In the production the original Shakespeare text -- the hilarious story of twins separated after a dramatic shipwreck -- is adapted into an upbeat musical, simplified for children to fully understand and ensuring the show is a an enjoyable and exciting experience.
The play will introduce youngsters to some of Shakespeare's most famous characters -- Sir Toby Belch, Sir Andrew Aguecheek and Malvolio. It runs from October 1 to 5. To book tickets call the box office on (01772) 258858.
