PETER Tracey, owner of Samuel's Inn and Brasserie, Bolton Road, Darwen, received a Gold Platter healthy catering award from Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen John Williams.
It is the first time the brasserie, which has been open for 18 months, has received the award.
The council gives Silver and Gold Platter awards to cafes and restaurants that have a good hygiene standards, a smoke-free area, staff trained in safe food handling and a menu that boasts 25 per cent healthy eating choices.
Mrs Judith Tracey said they were very pleased.
