BACUP BOROUGH manager Brent Peters is on the look-out for a new striker.

Despite hammering Darwen 5-1 at the Anchor Ground last Saturday, Peters is disappointed with the lack of a 'cutting edge' up front which was evident in the 2-0 defeat against Blackpool Mechanics on Tuesday night.

He hopes his side can get back to winning ways at NWCL Division Two newcomers Norton United tomorrow.

"We need to be more positive," he said. "If we had an out and out striker these chances would be his bread and butter and we'd finish these teams off.

"We were getting behind them against Blackpool and we played some really good football but frankly the quality of balls into the box left a lot to be desired."

Peters hopes to have Mark Hall back after he missed Tuesday's game through work commitments and Adam Potts may be fit after a back injury. Burnley United keeper Tony Gaijen is on stand-by if Potts is not fit.

Peters is also hoping to have Stuart Farnell back after an ankle injury.
