IN-FORM Clitheroe face one of the biggest tests of the season when they welcome St Helens to Shawbridge tomorrow.

Under new manager Lee Sculpher the NWCL Division One side have won the last four games - all away from home, but they have won only once at home this season.

"It has been absolutely unbelievable with four wins out of four," said Sculpher. "I just hope that we can take that form home with us.

"We couldn't have any more difficult a game than against St Helens who have won six out of the last six."

The omens are good for Sculpher after the superb start to his managerial career. Last season the Blues won eight and drew two of the first 10 games after Dave Burgess took the reins and went on to finish second and reach the semi-final of the FA Vase.

"When the manager changes at any club, results tend to pick up," he said. "But I think it is just a case of us hitting form. We were probably creating more chances before but weren't putting them away."

Sculpher is sweating on the fitness of influential striker Lee Cryer ahead of tomorrow's clash but Carl Greenwood should be fit after missing the midweek win at Fleetwood.

Mark Stewart, who has been the subject of an approach by Chorley this week, could feature after returning to the soccer scene following the end of the cricket season.
