JOHN Lister is ready to prove the doubters wrong this season and cause a few shocks along the way.
The Colne boss believes his side have been unfairly tagged as relegation strugglers despite turning in a string of impressive performances.
Ahead of tomorrow's trip to Stone Dominoes, Lister admitted it is up to his players to get rid of the tag by picking up the right results.
He said: "The club is not getting the credit that it deserves at the moment because of the poor season we had last term, despite the fact that our defeats have been close games against three of the top four sides.
"We know it's early days yet but the players are enjoying their football at the moment and when you see the spirit in the dressing room I think we have a few shocks in store."
Lister said the 7-0 hammering suffered against Chadderton earlier this season was a real shock to the system -- and promised his side would never lie down again.
"The confidence and spirit is high and the young players have really come along this season. We are determined to show people that Colne are going be a tough side to beat this year and any club who wants to take points off us better be prepared to work for them.
"We had a real kick up the backside when we were hammered 7-0 at Chadderton and the players have sworn that they won't lie down that easily again."
Dominic Kay and Carl Gough have been added to the squad for the trip to Stone but Neil Wilkinson (back) and Shaun Emmett (knee) are again ruled out.
