RAMSBOTTOM'S spies have given them the lowdown on tomorrow's FA Cup opponents - and they aren't too worried.
Despite Whitby Town playing two leagues above the Rams in the UniBond Premier Division, Ramsbottom are out to shock when they make the trip to the coast in the second qualifying round tomorrow.
The Rams sent a spying mission to Accrington Stanley when Whitby visited the Crown Ground in the league last Saturday.
And while the Rams were keeping tabs on their higher league opponents, Whitby had dropped off one of their spies at the Riverside to take in Ramsbottom's game.
"I don't think they will have learnt much," said boss Mike Kelly, despite his side winning 4-1 against Maine Road in the NWCL Division One.
"It was a convincing win but we were forced to swap things for Tuesday and won again.
"Now I have a selection headache and I will have to leave some players out which will be hard."
While the Rams boss feels Whitby will have learnt little, he has been told all about his opponents after their 3-2 win over Stanley.
"I know their dangerman is Dave Logan. He is about 37 and plays on the left side. Everything was said to come through him."
Logan is a former Northampton, Halifax and Stockport player and did put together some good moves against Stanley. But the Rams aren't too worried.
"I said last week that I wanted two wins from this week and it will put us in good stead for the Whitby game.
"We have done just that, we beat Maine Road and then Warrington on Tuesday and we have nothing to lose.
"We have already picked up £8,500 for coming through two rounds and there is another £7,500 up for grabs and that would be a big bonus.
"We are happy with our progress so far and if we can get through and draw a Conference side, that would be a dream. But we just want to enjoy it."
Kelly has to decide whether to bring Warren Brierley, Mike Langhorn, Dave Roach and Brad Franks back into the side for the second qualifying round after the quartet missed Tuesday's match through work commitments.
