Clock Face 46, Adlington A 6: FOUR tries by full-back Steve Rybczynski ensured Clock had a comfortable win. The visitors got off the mark first, with a penalty, before Mark Roberts crashed over for Clock's first points.

A high ball to the corner by Mike Simmons was missed by the Adlington defence, and led to Clock's second try, and Rybczynski first, when he gathered the ball to score in the corner.

But then a spell of indiscipline lead to the visitors getting two penalties and reducing Clock's lead to just two points.

This did not last for long as Clock hit back with a try by Karl Walker, who beat the defence to go over for a try, but with the strong wind against them he again failed to convert.

Clock were now well on top and finished off with two more tries, right on half-time, one by Rybczynski under the posts, his second, which Walker goaled, and then Gary Devine forced his way over in the corner to give Clock a 22-6 lead.

Rybczynski added his third try at the re-start thanks to some good work by David Hamilton, Walker converting. A fine interchanging of passes by Damian Grimes and Rybczynski led to his fourth try which Walker again goaled.

Straight from the restart the ball went to centre David Jump, who raced 60 metres through the visitors' defence to score a brilliant individual try, which Walker goaled.

Jump had a big hand in Clock's last try, when he broke away, drew the defence, before handing the ball onto supporting winger Wayne Prescott to cross between the posts making it easy for Walker to add his fifth conversion of the game.

The Kwik Seal man of the match award went to Steve Rybczynski while Mike Simmons took the M Leigh Plant Hire match day award.
