DOES anyone know what is going to happen to the land that Bury General Hospital stands on now that it is finally closing? Who owns it? Who is responsible for the trees, bushes, plants and hedges?
There are beech hedges and different types of trees and shrubs that have stood in the grounds for many years and have wrens, blackbirds, robins, blue tits, sparrows, thrush, and squirrels living among them.
It would be very sad to see all this just ripped up. Planting spindly little young trees after the event does not help, the wildlife which relies on the area would be lost, and beech hedges are rare in this area.
Can anyone help with information.
WILDLIFE FRIEND,
Bury.
