MORE than 200 primary school pupils 'invaded' Alder Grange High School in Rawtenstall for an action day.
The event was organised by teacher Sarah Walmsley to give primary school children the opportunity to see what secondary life is really like.
They took part in many different activities organised by the teachers to give an insight into the national curriculum.
Mrs Walmsley said: "It was the first time we'd had so many year six pupils in school at once. The whole day was extremely successful.
"The atmosphere was superb! The pupils took home a booklet that contained all the different things they had taken part in as a reminder of the day."
Alder Grange will open its doors on Thursday evening and all day Friday for year six pupils and their parents to view the school.
