PEOPLE being terrorised by a Rottweiler dog on the loose in a park have warned "a child could be killed".
The warning came after a man out walking his own dogs was attacked by the dog in Witton Park, Blackburn, suffering a serious cut to his arm.
Electrical engineer Alan Brammer, 33, of Revidge Road, Blackburn, said it was the second time in a month he had been attacked by the dog.
He plans to report the matter to the police. He said he had spoken to several others in the park who have been attacked by the dog.
Mr Brammer, who works for Philips Components in Philips Road, Blackburn, said: "I was out walking my dogs in the park when the Rottweiler came at me.
"It lunged at me three times, biting me once in the arm and I had to swipe at it with my own dog lead to make it get off.
"The woman who was with the dog just stood there and did nothing about it. It was ridiculous.
"I know several people who have been attacked by this dog or had their own dogs attacked. What's most worrying is that there is this Rottweiler on the loose where there are children around.
"Someone could easily get hurt or worse because this dog is dangerous and is not on a lead."
Mr Brammer, who had to go to Blackburn Royal Infirmary for treatment after the attack on Thursday morning, added: "I tried to shout at the owner who was stood nearby talking to some other people when I was attacked, but she just walked off.
"Next time I go to the park and see her I'm going to follow her home to find out where she lives and then I'll report it to the police."
Police are to investigate the incident.
