LAST orders will be called tomorrow on the British Institute of Innkeeping's 2002 Licensee of the Year Competition.
The competition, sponsored by Matthew Clark, aims to find the licensee or couple who most embody high standards in all aspects of the running of their pub.
They must have the determination to build business, have a passion for the industry and the ability to recruit, motivate and retain good staff.
As well as walking away with the title 2002 BII Licensee of the Year the winner will also receive a trophy and £1,000.
Entrants can be managers, tenants and freeholders alike - if they are members of the BII or not - but the closing date is tomorrow so candidates must be quick.
Nominations can be made by contacting Laura Janes at laura@bii.org for an entry form or by calling 01276 417825.
