BURY aim to pick up their first home points of the campaign tonight when Wycombe Wanderers are the visitors to Gigg Lane.
The match was scheduled to be played two weeks ago but floodlight failure forced the cancellation at the last minute.
The Shakers home record makes grim reading with four defeats from four games and boss Andy Preece will be looking to build on Saturday's confidence-boosting draw at Reading.
Hero of the hour at the Madejski Stadium was striker Ian Lawson who came off the bench to grab a dramatic injury time winner.
Lawson looks likely to have done enough to get a starting berth tonight but defender Sam Collins looks certain to miss with a foot injury.
That could mean a recall for Greek defender George Syros should he recover from the hamstring strain that kept him out of action at the weekend.
"Saturday's performance was brilliant and I just wished some of our home fans could have seen it," said Preece.
"It's vital that we put in a good display for them tonight and get a result.
"A victory would lift us off the bottom of the table and put us in the pack and then suddenly things don't look quite so bad.
"Once we are in touch with the rest of the teams I'm sure we can pull clear of trouble because apart from the Oldham performance we've been doing okay."
"We've been passing the ball well, been brave and no-one has shirked work, in fact we haven't looked like a bottom of the league side."
"And tonight we can do something about that."
After tonight's game the club have a ten day break before their next match - at Cambridge on October 13 - and Preece and newly-installed coach Graham Barrow will be working hard with the players to eradicate the lapses of concentration that have cost them so far this season.
"Once we sort our discipline out we will move steadily up the league."
The reserves are in action at Walsall tomorrow afternoon in the First Division of the Avon Assurance League.
