THE first annual Rossendale Folk Festival is planned for the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21 at the Crown, Bacup Road, Rawtenstall.
Artists appearing on Saturday include Marvin Cheeseman, Helen Thomas, Hands In Pockets, Mickey Loveder, Ben Egg, Duane and James, the Brass Rubbings, Dylan and His Beautiful Assistant Mary, and Ken the Comedian.
On Sunday it is the turn of Hovis Presley and the Hassy Trades Club Poets, supported by the Sounds of Bangladesh and a jam session.
Admission is free and proceeds are in aid of Rossendale Hospice.
