CAN councillors Bill Taylor or Ashley Whalley tell us why they think Blackburn's disastrous orbital route will be so wonderful when completed?
For instance, where will all the traffic (shoppers) go as they join the end of the line outside the Infirmary for town, with Mincing Lane having been made into one lane to create parking spaces?
How will this have eased the flow of traffic when road works are completed "in time for Christmas?" Do the experts not think that keeping Mincing Lane's two lanes would have been a better idea?
As it is the whole town has become a parking area -- from the Infirmary to the County Hotel.
The build up to Christmas has long since started. Trade lost now will not be put in the tills by customers playing "catch up." They are, like myself, shopping elsewhere.
