BLACKPOOL and The Fylde College's school of tourism, leisure and hospitality is celebrating the soaring success of its HND course in Hospitality Management.
The college has been running the HND programme for more than 20 years and it has advanced over the years to meet the ever-changing demands of the hospitality industry.
On the course students study finance, human resources and physical resources, with many students going on to work with large organisations all over the world including the Disney Corporation, Hilton Hotel, Pizza Hut and the Kentucky Fried Chicken group. Jim Hanna, from the school of tourism, leisure and hospitality, said, "The course works so well because it is based in a town that is famous for its hospitality industry. We have great links and this means that the students are getting first hand experience of the hospitality industry."
