A BURY nightclub was partially smoke-logged during a series of early morning arson attacks in and around the town centre.
A firebug piled up refuse bags against a rear door of Sol Viva in Rochdale Road and ignited them.
The heat and flames severely damaged the door and allowed smoke to percolate into the building.
A Bury fire crew tackled the outbreak, which happened around 4am on Sunday (Sept 30).
Officers were called out to two other similar arsons on Sunday morning.
A rubbish bin was set ablaze outside the Wilkinson's DIY store on The Rock and there was another at a fruit and vegetable stall on Bury Market. Police are investigating all the incidents.
