BLACKBOARDS could soon be a thing of the past and leading the way in the technological revolution in the classroom is Radcliffe High School.
It launched its Information Computer and Technology (ICT) out-of-hours club last Thursday (Sept 27) , and it is already proving a popular draw for pupils.
Each lunchtime and for an hour after school, they can take advantage of the latest technology to help them with their homework, coursework or research.
And with a member of staff volunteering their time each session, there is no reason why the pupils shouldn't get top marks from now on!
The scheme, made possible by a £42,000 New Opportunities Government grant, was launched with a presentation by headteacher Mr Graham Rollinson, and head of ICT, Mr Paul Livesey, for assembled guests including primary school headteachers and the deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Bury, Coun Bill Johnson and his wife, Joyce.
