WHEN nine-year-old Warren Leith learned he had a brain tumour, one of the few things that kept his spirits up was the joy he derived from his PlayStation.
And during the many months of convalescence after the major operation it was his games console and his electric guitar that helped him cope.
But some time between 9.30am and 1.30pm last Wednesday (Sept 26), thieves broke into the family bungalow in Shirebrook Drive and stole his favourite possessions, along with his bike and his parents' wedding and engagement rings.
"He's absolutely gutted," said his father, Mr Craig Leith. "It's been really traumatic for him."
Although it is two years since Warren, a pupil at Coney Green High School, had the operation, he still has to go for regular brain scans and may require chemotherapy.
Mr Leith is so determined to cheer Warren up that he is offering a small reward for the return of the stolen items.
If anyone can help recover Warren's prized possessions they can contact Mr Leith on 723 5223.
