DETECTIVES are hunting a raider who robbed a security guard of a cash package inside a Prestwich bank.
The man ran off on foot after the robbery at the NatWest Bank in Bury New Road, Prestwich.
Detectives say the offender struck as the security guard was delivering a red cash pouch to the bank.
Det Con Shaun Dwyer, of Whitefield CID, said: "As he bent down to put the money into the hatch, the man was stood behind him."
The robber put his hands into his pockets to indicate he may have been carrying a weapon and demanded the cash.
After the pouch was handed over, he left the premises and sprinted along Clifton Road.
Detectives want to establish whether he got into a waiting car.
He was 6ft tall, of slim build with dark hair and was wearing a cream Parka-type jacket with black stripes on the arms and rear of the shoulders.
Anyone who saw the man in Clifton Road and who has any information should ring Det Con Dwyer at Whitefield CID on 856 8213 or, alternatively, freephone CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
