FRIDAY night football comes to Hilton Park today when Leigh RMI take on Hereford United with officials hoping for a significant increase in the size of attendance.
With average gates so far this season of little more than 400 it is hoped that a Friday night game will prove more attractive to the town's sporting public.
RMI's recent form of four wins and one defeat in their last five games has seen them rise from bottom spot to a respectable position just below half way following Tuesday's splendid 3-1 away win at Morecambe.
Now they have the chance to move into the top half if they can secure home victories over Hereford tonight and Forest Green next Tuesday.
RMI's early season injury crisis is now showing signs of improving with Ged Kielty, Ricky Harris and Iain Swan all making their comebacks in recent days. In addition, striker Dino Maamria and midfielder Dave Ridings could be in contention for tonight's game, kick off 7.45pm.
