ORGANISATIONS and businesses affected by the foot and mouth outbreak are invited to apply for funds from Lancashire-based Enterprise plc.
The company will give out grants for small events under the Lancashire County Council and North West Development Agency foot and mouth disease recovery plan.
The aim is to assist small businesses in rural areas adversely affected by the outbreak.
Enterprise will promote specialised local events, in a bid to attract visitors from the county and further afield, and is inviting formal applications.
Applicants will have to go through a formal application process to show they meet with the aims and objectives of the plan.
Any local business or organisation holding an event between now and March 2002 can apply to Diane Parkinson, Enterprise plc, Lancaster House, Centurion Way, Leyland, PR26 6TX, or ring 01772 819442.
